With frequent power shortages, rising energy costs, and a heavy reliance on non-renewable sources in SierraLeone the need for sustainable energy alternatives has never been greater.
Aptech Africa, SierraLeone office recently designed, supplied, installed, commissioned, and provided training for solar photovoltaic system with a total capacity of 30.830 kWp. Specifically, the system consisted 545 Wp of risen PV panels with a 57.6 kWh battery bank featuring 4.8 kWh Pylontech Lithium storage. Online monitoring systems were also installed.
The project aims to significantly reduce carbon emissions associated with conventional energy consumption and provide reliable power to the building during office hours, contributing to sustainable energy practices and ensuring uninterrupted operational efficiency. The installed system will benefit more than 100 people especially the people that work in the building.
The installation of this solar PV system by Aptech Africa is more than just a technical achievement—it is a symbol of progress and opportunity. From powering homes and schools to supporting healthcare and local businesses, this project is transforming lives and ensuring a more sustainable future.
