SAMOA STREET LIGHTS INSTALLATION

Samoa, a picturesque island nation nestled in the South Pacific, is renowned for its stunning natural beauty and vibrant culture. However, like many developing regions, access to reliable electricity infrastructure can be a challenge in some areas. In a bid to illuminate the streets and enhance safety and security for its residents, Aptech Africa Ltd took the initiative to install Solar Street lights in the island.

Aptech Africa Ltd supplied, installed and commissioned 45 inlux Solar Street lights in Apia- Samoa that comprised of 40W LED lights, 150W solar panels, 4m poles and a 30.51kWh battery bank storage of 678Wh Lithium batteries.

The Solar Street lights will benefit the citizens of Samoa. The Island will enjoy improved Safety: Brighter and safer streets instill a sense of security among residents, reducing the risk of accidents and crime. The residents will also benefit from extended hours of activity, attraction of businesses and tourists alike, stimulating economic growth and development in Samoa’s urban areas. The Island will also gain environmental benefits like reduced carbon emissions and promoting sustainable energy practices, the solar street lights contribute to Samoa’s efforts to combat climate change and protect its natural heritage. The Island had existing lights but with the added lights by Aptech Africa Ltd, the citizens are assured of a more sustainable and resilient future for generations to come as well as increased illumination of the entire island
