Aptech Africa Lights Up Somalia with Modern Solar Solutions

Aptech Africa has successfully delivered a transformative 24kWp solar PV system in Garowe, Somalia, marking another step forward in advancing clean and reliable energy across the region.

The project features a carport-mounted, grid-tied solar system built with JA Solar modules and a Huawei 20kW inverter, all connected to Huawei’s Fusion Solar monitoring platform for seamless real-time tracking of energy generation and system performance. Complemented by an existing 250kVA generator, the installation delivers reliable and uninterrupted daytime power, while significantly reducing dependence on the national grid and promoting cost savings and energy sustainability.

The site was strategically selected to support sustainable operations, cut energy costs, and provide staff with a stable and environmentally friendly power supply throughout working hours. Designed and executed with precision, the system benefits over 30 users, contributing to improved efficiency, reduced operational expenses, and a positive socio-economic impact.

Through this project, Aptech Africa continues to champion innovative renewable energy solutions, empower organizations, and accelerate the adoption of clean energy across Africa, reaffirming its commitment to a sustainable future.
