Aptech Africa Restores Safe Water Access for Children in Sierra Leone

Aptech Africa is proud to have successfully restored a reliable water supply for Variety Children and Family Services in Kingtom, Freetown, Sierra Leone, addressing an urgent need for safe and consistent water access.

The project involved the replacement of Grundfos SQFlex pump, while retaining the existing CU 200 pump controller and roof-mounted solar panels, ensuring the system was seamlessly reintegrated and fully operational. The upgraded 710 Wp solar-powered system now delivers dependable water access, directly benefiting 25–30 children and staff at the facility.

By integrating the new pump with the existing infrastructure, the organization now enjoys a reliable, sustainable, and safe water supply.This project goes beyond meeting immediate water needs—it protects children, improves hygiene, and enhances overall living conditions.
