Aptech Africa Turns Sunlight into Life-Giving Water in Sierra Leone

Aptech Africa is proud to deliver an innovative solar water pumping solution to Nar Sarah Clinic in Kabala, Sierra Leone, addressing long-standing challenges of water shortage and costly fuel dependence.

The project features a 1.98 kWp roof-mounted solar system powering a Grundfos SQFlex pump with a CU 200 Grundfos pump controller, providing a reliable, efficient, and sustainable water supply. Seamlessly integrated with the existing infrastructure, the installation ensures uninterrupted water access, reduces operational costs, and supports a greener, eco-friendly approach to essential services.

This system now serves 100–200 beneficiaries, including patients and clinic staff. Beyond supplying water, the system empowers the community, improving hygiene, supporting better patient care, and contributing to overall wellbeing. By adopting modern renewable energy technology, the project highlights Aptech Africa’s role as a pioneer in practical, sustainable solutions that enhance operational efficiency and promote long-term development.
