Aptech Africa has successfully completed the installation of two solar-powered water supply systems in Bouar and Nola, significantly improving access to clean and reliable water for local communities.
A total of seven (7) water storage tanks, each with a capacity of 5,000 liters, were installed across the two locations: Bouar- 2 tanks × 5,000 liters and 1 additional 5,000-liter tank producing a total capacity of 15,000 liters, and Nola- 4 tanks × 5,000 liters producing a total capacity of 20,000 liters. Together, these tanks provide 35,000 liters of water storage, ensuring adequate reserves for daily use and peak demand periods. To guarantee sustainability and reliability, the water supply systems are powered by solar energy. Aptech Africa installed 32 Solar ET-M53690 Monocrystalline panels, 355 Wc / 24 V (±3%) per panel. The solar arrays supply clean, renewable power to operate the water pumping and storage systems, reducing dependence on fuel-based alternatives and lowering long-term operational costs.
The completion of the water supply systems in Bouar and Nola delivers far-reaching benefits that extend beyond infrastructure. Communities now have a more reliable and consistent source of water, reducing the need to travel long distances in search of safe water. Reliable water supply supports improved sanitation, hygiene practices, and reduced risk of water-borne diseases. Women and children often responsible for water collection benefit from reduced physical burden and more time for education, work, and family activities. Solar-powered systems eliminate fuel consumption and emissions, contributing to climate resilience and environmental protection. The use of solar energy also minimizes recurring fuel and maintenance expenses, ensuring long-term sustainability of the systems.
By combining water storage infrastructure with renewable energy, Aptech Africa has delivered a solution that is both practical and future-proof. The systems are designed to operate reliably in remote and underserved areas, strengthening community resilience against climate variability and infrastructure limitations.
The successful completion of the Bouar and Nola water supply systems reinforces Aptech Africa’s role as a trusted partner in delivering impactful, sustainable infrastructure solutions across Africa. As access to clean water and renewable energy continues to shape healthier and more resilient communities, Aptech Africa remains committed to driving solutions that create lasting change.
