Aptech Africa and Soleil Power Deliver Reliable Backup Solution to Ensure Uninterrupted Broadcasting
Aptech Africa, in partnership with Soleil Power, proudly announces the successful completion of a 30kVA battery backup system designed, supplied, installed, and commissioned to ensure uninterrupted power supply for one of media studio in Uganda.
This project was implemented to address the persistent challenge of power outages that previously disrupted live broadcasts and affected production schedules. With the media industry’s fast-paced environment, even a brief power interruption can result in significant operational downtime.
To provide a long-term and reliable solution, Aptech Africa deployed a state-of-the-art 30kVA battery energy storage system featuring three Victron Quattro 10kVA inverters paired with Soleil Power’s 6kWh lithium batteries. The system is fully integrated with a Victron Cerbo GX remote monitoring device, allowing real-time visibility into system performance including battery status, energy consumption, and fault alerts ensuring immediate response and consistent system reliability.
The project was executed and commissioned within 10 days, reflecting Aptech Africa’s commitment to efficiency and customer satisfaction. Both Aptech Africa and Soleil Power engineers worked hand-in-hand to ensure the installation and configuration were completed to the highest technical standards.
Approximately 50 staff members directly benefit from this backup system, ensuring that operations continue smoothly and efficiently. Beyond that, the broader public also benefits through uninterrupted media broadcasting.This achievement underscores Aptech Africa’s dedication to providing innovative, high-performance, and sustainable power solutions that empower organizations across Africa. The successful implementation of Soleil Power’s in-house battery technology further demonstrates the group’s commitment to local innovation and energy reliability across the continent.
