Aptech Africa Ltd successfully completed the supply and installation of solar lighting systems across six districts in Sierra Leone — Moyamba, Pujehun, Bonthe, Tombo, Kambia, and Mongo (Falaba).
The initiative provides clean, reliable, and sustainable electricity to 2,500 households, improving living standards and promoting socio-economic growth for the communities. Each solar home system consists of a 12W roof-mounted solar panel paired with a 38W battery unit. The systems are stand-alone. They feature modern technology with two charging ports and five LED bulbs, enabling households to power lighting and small electronic devices such as mobile phones.
These installations aim to help families enjoy safer and more productive evenings while supporting education and small-scale business activities. Aptech Africa ensured high safety standards throughout implementation, with trained technicians and proper waste management practices reinforcing the company’s commitment to quality and environmental responsibility.
This project benefits over 2,500 households, across the six districts. Access to clean solar energy now enables families to study, work, and engage in community activities after dark, promoting education, safety, and economic resilience. The project also contributes to Sierra Leone’s national goals for renewable energy access, supporting sustainable development and environmental protection.
Through the successful completion of this project, Aptech Africa Ltd continues to demonstrate its leadership in delivering impactful renewable energy solutions across Africa.
