Aptech Africa is proud to announce the successful installation of solar power systems in the Central African Republic (CAR), bringing clean, reliable, and sustainable electricity to communities that have long struggled with energy access.
The Central African Republic has one of the lowest electrification rates in the world, with many households, health centers, and businesses relying on costly and unreliable energy sources. Frequent blackouts and limited grid coverage make it difficult for communities to access essential services.
Aptech Africa installed 48 Master Power Solar panels, each with a capacity of 455Wp, and 48 Upower OPzV 2V-1500Ah batteries each mounted on a 48V system with 3 Sunny Island battery inverters, a 15KW STP X converter, and protection boxes as well as an M data manager for equipment management for both the Kaga Bandoro site and Bouar.
By installing solar systems, Aptech Africa is helping to reduce dependence on expensive diesel generators, supports environmental protection and climate resilience as well as enabling access of power supply in underserved communities, driving social and economic development. The installation will benefit all the people that reside in these communities.
The solar installations by Aptech Africa in the Central African Republic represent more than just an energy solution they are a pathway to resilience, opportunity, and a brighter future. The installations will enable uninterrupted power supply at health centers ensuring safe deliveries, vaccine preservation, and the use of essential medical equipment.
Schools have access to electricity for lighting and digital learning tools, creating a better learning environment for students. Local businesses can extend their working hours, supporting livelihoods and economic growth. Communities benefit from improved public safety and quality of life
