Aptech Africa is proud to be awarded as the Best Water Pumping Specialist – Uganda at the MEA Business Awards. The MEA Business Awards celebrate diverse talents across the Middle East and African regions. Nominations are made through independent information gathering by MEA’s team of journalists and nominees are selected on merit-based research in the public domain. Selections were made through an independent panel of judges. Aptech was recognized as being a specialist in the water pumping sector, as well as being committed to customer satisfaction and quality.

Aptech Africa was selected for its work in the Uganda, with its headquarters located in Kampala, implementing solar water pumping projects since 2016. Aptech has been recognized as a quality solar and water pumping EPC company located in frontier markets across Africa. Aptech is known for successfully delivering projects in the most difficult to operate countries. International companies, NGOs and UN agencies have come to rely on Aptech to deliver renewable energy projects within a humanitarian context. To date, Aptech has completed some of the largest solar water pumping projects in Uganda, providing water to thousands of people living in refugee camps across the country. In recent years, Aptech has been a leader in R&D, helping to launch projects such as PAY-N-PUMP which make solar powered water pumping and irrigation solutions accessible to rural farmers.  Under the leadership of Ghirmay and Metkel Abraham, Aptech is pushing to deliver the apex of solar water pumping technology to people throughout Uganda.
