Aptech Africa is thrilled to announce the successful installation of a 174.4kWp solar power system for a warehouse in Juba- South Sudan. South Sudan, with its abundant sunlight and growing energy demands, presents a prime opportunity for solar energy.
Aptech Africa designed, supplied, installed and commissioned the 174.4Kwp Off grid system in South Sudan with a 160kwh battery energy storage with Lithium- ion batteries from BYD. The system was roof mounted, 320 solar modules of 545w. The system also contains one inverter of Fronius and three 15000va Victron inverter. It is also important to note that the system is fitted with four Victron charge controllers of 450/200Amp MPPT charge controller which technically means that we are assured of maximum output from the solar modules any time of the day. And also, it has color control which helps monitoring the system remotely.
The installed system is meant to reduce grid costs and minimize carbon emissions in the premises. It is also meant to reduce overreliance on the Diesel Generator because fuel is not easily accessible in the area.
Thanks to the team of experienced engineers and technicians from Aptech Africa, the system will benefit more than 100 people. Reliable energy access is a cornerstone for development. This project enhances operational efficiency and demonstrates the potential of renewable energy to drive economic growth and improve livelihoods in South Sudan. It showcases how solar power can be a transformative solution for businesses, institutions, and communities. The presence of power within the warehouse will bring a sense of security for the residents within the location of the warehouse, especially at night.
