SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF GREEN ENERGY POWER BACKUP SYSTEM AT NGO OFFICES IN JUBA- SOUTH SUDAN

In a significant stride towards a sustainable and energy- efficient future, the city of Juba is embracing renewable energy. The solar installations are a beacon of hope for a cleaner and brighter tomorrow.

Aptech Africa Ltd- Juba Office designed, supplied, installed, and commissioned a 50.14kWp with a 218kwh battery energy storage capacity for offices in Juba. The system is roof mounted and works alongside the city grid and a generator. The designed system’s first priority power source to run the connected loads is always the PV power. In case of low generation from the PV solar, the battery bank or grid power can be fed to the loads, in accordance with the load requirements, and serves as the second and third priority power sources. The generator functions as the last power backup. Alpha ESS is the online monitoring software that checks system performance, equipment state in case of any alarms or faults, and energy conjunction

The system will benefit over 50 employees working in Juba offices. The system will also enable zero emissions to the environment and will provide a highly dependable power supply to enable employees to coordinate remotely around the globe. Beyond the immediate benefits, the solar system strengthens the city’s infrastructure, making it more resilient to power fluctuations and outages.
